This Think-in will explore how supervisors can support students in developing a successful research question, for both experimental and secondary data chemistry EEs, that will allow the students to meet the assessment criteria. We will also explore the assessment criteria itself and examine what makes an excellent EE, including considering the differences between IA and EE. We will consider the role of the supervisor in supporting students in the writing of their reflections and how we can encourage the students to avoid descriptive, and focus on reflective, statements.
