This Think-In is for teachers of Analysis & Approaches HL who wish to develop skills and resources for preparing their students for the HL Paper 3 exam which contains two extended response problem-solving questions. The primary goal of this Think-In is to share strategies, ideas & resources that can help your students achieve top marks on the HL Paper 3 exam. An original Paper 3 mock exam (with worked solutions), exclusive to this Think-In, will be shared and reviewed with participants.
Session 1 : What skills and habits must students develop to be successful on Paper 3? How can these skills and habits be addressed in the classroom? What are common elements of Paper 3 questions? What useful advice regarding Paper 3 should be shared and discussed with students? What helpful insights about Paper 3 can we obtain from recent subject reports?
Session 2 : What resources can help students practice key skills for Paper 3? Why is Paper 3 particularly challenging for many students? How can a teacher create their own Paper 3 preparation materials? What syllabus items and concepts are more likely to be, or not to be, included in Paper 3 questions? Ready-made materials will be presented and shared with participants.

Although the training is designed for those relatively new to the EE and/or IB Economics, the workshop is open to anyone who may be interested.
